Sending emails takes a long time recently.

Hi

I've been using my Sky email address for over ten years in the Thunderbird client. Just recently it's started taking about 20 seconds to send a basic email.

I set my account up in another client to test, and again it's taking 20 seconds to send.

So it looks like it's a Sky/Yahoo problem. 

Any ideas how to fix this?

As it is happening in multiple programs is this happening when you are using mobile data or WiFi or both ?

This is happening on a desktop pc using Thunderbird and Em Client as email programs. Using my home fibre broadband.

Also I've just checked sending an email from my mobile phone using the sky email address through the Gmail app and it's the same - 22 seconds to send.

@Bob39 try temporarily disabling your mobile's wifi connection, and then sending an email (so that it's sent via your mobile's cellular data connection).

I tried what you mentioned on the mobile phone and it sent instantly. 

So I rebooted the router and tried again with wifi on the desktop and it sent instantly too.

Router reboot fixed it.
