Scam email

Received yet another email today as follows:

"We noticed that you have been ignoring our messages to upgrade your email. We are closing all old Sky Yahoo Mail accounts, starting on January 4th, 2024.  Please click the button below to get a more organized mailbox and avoid being Deactivated."

This was from an email address of

"Sky <sseeney

@hertriatlasoklachs

.com>" (broken down in order for it to be accepted in the post)

and was complete with the Sky logo.

Do not respond

If you have a email account then the chances are you will receive them as these have been doing the rounds for years now. Just keep marking them as spam.

Re: Scam email

@caesarome

Whilst I accept your response and agree that this type of scam email has been doing the rounds I think it does not harm to advise people on a regular basis of this fact, particularly as these emails can take many different forms and come with many different, albeit fake, email adddresses.

I totally agree, hopefully people will find posts like this when they are searching online to see if these emails are legit or not.

@WRoger  Posts similar to yours are raised on an almost daily baisi, it's well known people don't actually read the forum before posting and we'll no doubt get more posts each day about these type of emails.

If you look at the forum or search scam email it will return literrally dozens of posts within the last 2 weeks.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@sushal

You are right this is another scam email, you will note that it doesn't address you by your first name and instead calls you "Dear User". Any updates to the email would be done by Yahoo/Sky in the background without the need for you to do anything.

@Gunay1 it's the same email as noted just before your post. It's not genuine. Mark it as spam

@Gunay1

It calls you "Dear User" and that link doesn't go to Sky.com so most definitely a scam email.
