Older emails being deleted
My older emails are being deleted. I used to be able to access all emails going back years. Do what has changed?

Re: Older emails being deleted
Nothing should have changed at Sky|Yahoo. Are you doing anything different, such as using a new app to access your email?

Re: Older emails being deleted
Have a read of this as it might be worth a try:
https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN2552.html
If they are restored then it would be advisable not to store all your emails in your inbox if this is where they were located, but instead set up separate folders to keep them in.

Re: Older emails being deleted
thanks for the quick response and no I use the same iOS mail app. It's not just the app as when I access sky mail all the previous mail up until November 2022 has gone.
I think there is know a time limit set by sky yahoo but they haven't let us know.
Two weeks ago I could access previous mail from January 2022.

Re: Older emails being deleted
Yes thanks I 'll try that request. The problem is you were able to access all your email since setting up an account with Yahoo and Sky many years ago but now I'm only seeing mail from November 2022.
I'm wondering if Sky Yahoo have placed a time limit.
I've also taken your advice and archived them but I'm hoping there isn't a limit on that too.

No, there's no time limit.

Re: Older emails being deleted
I'm afraid it's probably just another Yahoo glitch. Yahoo does seem to to odd things to some customers from time to time. As @caesarome highlighted earlier, the solution may be to move items from your Inbox to a separate folder of your own. Individual folders seem to be at less risk of odd things happening than the main Inbox does.

Re: Older emails being deleted
With Yahoo if you leave all your emails in the inbox then sadly you do run the risk of this happening which is why as I said earlier you emails are safer in their own folders away from the inbox.
