My husband has had an email purporting to be from you asking him to click on a link to update his Sky Mailbox or else it will be shut down. Is this genuine as I haven’t received such an email.

No, it's an attempt to scam him. The link will almost certainly lead to a fake page the purpose of which is to capture his login details allowing a scammer to take control of his email account. Mark the post as spam, and delete it.
