Email deletion

Hi I'm looking for some help in getting my sky/yahoo email address permanently deleted. I have spoken to an advisor today who said she has done this, but the account remains active.

The account has been hacked and they have since logged into other accounts and have all my personal details, phone number etc which is of course causing alot of unrest. Please would it be possible to have this account deleted asap thanks

I believe account deletions are carried out in batches, and I would imagine that your account will have been added to the next batch awaiting processing.

I haven't logged on to my old Yahoo account for 4 years but it is still active. Racking up a large number of spam emails, I thought I could delete it but no luck. Any other suggestions?

Have you asked Sky to delete it, as per the initial post?

It won't allow me and they keep saying there has been an error. Shall I call? Sky does have good hold music compared to others haha

Yes, you'll need to call. If you don't want too much of a good thing with the on hold music, I'd call in the evening. I should warn you that experience from the forum suggests that advisers aren't particularly well versed on Sky Yahoo Mail and you may come across an adviser who doesn't know what to do....

 

It might be easier all round just not to sign in and let your Sky Yahoo Mail fester until it is eventually removed (Sky do a trawl from time to time and delete inactive account. Recent posts suggest that there's a slew of old accounts being deleted just now).
