Email account hacked and emails deleted

My email account was hacked today, when I finally regained access my emails had been deleted. I was advised how to put in a request to retrieve them:

Hello,
You've reached the Yahoo Mail Restore Team.
If you've submitted a restore request for missing email please check your account as you are the account owner and know your email best. Give the restore process 8 hours to work.
If your messages are still not appearing in your mailbox they may have been archived for a rainy day and/or try checking your trash folder and/or filters. Please remember, only emails deleted in the last 7 days can be restored.

My problem is that is has restored everything from this morning at about 8.53 onwards and then everything upto 2015, however, it's the latest stuff that I need, from early this morning, yesterday, last week and this year even. Would anyone know, is that all the restore can do?

Previous posts here would suggest that the process is a bit hit and miss in terms of what it actually restores. If it were me, I 'd give it a second try but realistically in hope more than expectation.

We have had the same problem.  Our emails were hacked around 4th/5th June 2023. 

We were able to get old emails restored by Yahoo from about 2012 to 2015/6 into our inbox and sent box but nothing from 2015 to the date of the hacking. 

I thought everything was stored in the cloud now, so why can't Sky/Yahoo restore all my emails. 

We are really struggling to function as we have loads of documents that we desperately need to be restored. 

Can anyone help?  Can we get our emails back from the Cloud and how?

We have spoken to both Sky and Yahoo on several occasions and keep being passed from pillar to post, having been assured by Sky's technical dept that they can 100% restore our emails.

We await any information.  Thank you.

@Dorothy+Hides you can always create you own backups of important emails.

Yahoo's recovery process warns that it may not be possible to restore all emails, and unfortunately that appears to be the case for your email account. I don't know of any cloud service for Sky Yahoo Mail. 

I don't believe that Sky can restore your emails 100% but if that's what they've said, I can only suggest you follow it up with them.

We are following it up with Sky at the moment but it is taking forever, (wait 48 hours, wait 72 hours, wait 7 days, wait 6 days etc., etc).

I have noticed on this community that Yahoo's recovery service appears to hold only very old records, which were previously held by Sky!  No further comment required there!

Sky do appear to have Cloud service with Dropbox and Google.

Sky were able to restore our emails many years ago when our account completely disappeared but hey we are in a more 'tech savvy time' but things seem to have got worse or Yahoo just don't do Customer Care, in my opinion, but thank you for your rapid response.

Not sure what you meant either of these. Yahoo email recovery service will try to restore recent emails that has gone missing although you do have to ask why they have such a service in the first place.

Sky are not connected to either Dropbox and Google stoped providing the Sky email service many years ago.

They are being economical with  the truth.

If the Yahoo recovery request didn't work, they have gone for good I'm afraid.
