i am unable to send or receive EMAILS, being asked for IMAP password , how do i get this

Try generating one here and using that:

The password is usually your account's password. If that isn't being accepted then you might require an app specific password which is used in place of the account password.

Hopefully the previous replies have resolved your query, but out of interest, what app/client are you using, and was it previously working O.K?
