Cannot access YAHOO email acct.

I read other posts, referring to recovery code,  I cannot get access to it, as it is probably on an email and cannot get into emails. There must be a way to do this, I cannot be the only person like this, I tried what number I normally use, but no luck. I tried to cancel two tier access but it still won't send a code to my phone. Any help appreciated.

@derekbrooks no, the Recovery Code was displayed on screen when you set up 2 step verification, together with a recommendation from Sky (which you had to acknowledge in order to proceed) that you make a separate note of it.

If you didn't make a note of it, the only way to turn off 2 step verification is to call Sky and ask them to do it for you.

Thanks for that, but I can nevewr find a phone number, only get BOTS, is there  a direct no.?

@derekbrooks unfortunately all calls are initially answered by the bot. Try not responding to it and eventually you should be asked if you want to speak to an adviser.

I tried your suggestion, no luck, bot eventually cut me off. Tried everything, so in the end went on "chat" go a person and explained issue, asked for a direct no. She gave me a dedicated no, for help, but this will not allow me to post it. and I rang it, provided security info and got a person who said she could help.

After nearly an hour of changing this and that, passwords etc she could not get texts to come to me. She then passed me to another Dept. 

The gent said he had done quite a few of these, and knew exactly what to do, after just 5 mins sorted. Had to wait for a few hours for system to reset I guess.

If you ring this no, ask to be put theu direct to Identity and log in/emails etc. They will sort you out.

Contact Sky and they will send a request to Yahoo to remove the two step verification.

Not true. Sky's 2FA has nothing to do with Yahoo.
