Cancel email account as hacked

Please can you advise how I cancel my sky email account as it has been hacked

You would need to call Sky and ask them to delete it, but be prepared to encounter an adviser who doesn't know how to do it. It's an uncommon request. Alternatively if you don't log in, it will eventually be deleted automatically.

In the meantime,  you could change your password - make it at least 8 characters long, includes numbers and special characters, and isn't a word you might find in a dictionary. Then set up 2 step verification as a further deterrent.

Even if you don't plan to use your account anymore if you haven't already you need to look at what they have done.

Login to your online account:

https://skyid.sky.com/signin/email/

Go to Settings (the screw icon on the right hand side) > More Settings > Filters and remove anything that you did not setup.

Then go to Settings > More Settings > Mailboxes > Your email address > Reply-to address

And again remove anything here that you did not setup.

If you have had to make a change then logout and change your password:
