wireless stability
I had sky fttp installed on friday to replace a different fibre solution but it's located in the same spot as the previous router so assumed wireless coverage would be better or at least the same but unfortunately that's not been the case, my sky stream is struggling to connect which I can see in the app but the troubleshooting steps don't lead to a solution.
A laptop plugged into the router directly shows a great speed, no packet loss, low jitter and low latency - happy with that side of things.
Most importantly though the stability of the wireless connections, including in the same room have been awful. A variety of devices from old and new amazon tablets to newer mobiles and ring doorbells keep losing connection and taking a while to reconnect. Games on mobiles as well regularly buffer but as soon as on 4G are fine. I've tried altering firewall settings, DNS, altering the shield to the level of taking it off, changing to WPA3 to WPA3-T to WPA2 and it's the same result all the time. Even if I establish a VPN straight though the wireless to rule out DNS, etc i get mobile game buffering. I've also tested connections independently on IPv6 and then IPv4 to see if it's isolated to one or ther other. I've also checked the wireless networks around me to make sure there's no overlapping channels. I've resorted to borrowing another wifi 6 access point off a friend and disabling wireless on the Sky box and complete stability has been restored, low latency, low jitter and low packet loss, very similar to on the wired connection.
Are there any other settings or anything I can change on the Sky box (model SR213) that might improve stability as I've got to give the access point back to them. Potentially a firmware update (or downgrade) I can request? Speedtests through the wireless are showing 600Mb+ so the issue isn't there, and I believe the underlying fibre isn't the issue.

Re: wireless stability
It sounds like you have done everything you can so if have Wi-Fi Max on your account then Sky will loan up to 3 pods as you can read about here:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max
So you can either call them on 150 from a landline phone or a mobile that has a Sky sim in it or Select "No, I still need help" at the bottom on the above link.
Alternatives are homeplugs or your own mesh network.
If someone has helped you then please click on the LIKES button in their post.
If you need help please provide as much information as you can

Re: wireless stability
thanks, appreciate you taking the time to reply and the thoughts.
I haven't paid for the extra for wifi-max but as I've got issues in the same room with direct line of site I can't see how the extender pods would work, unless they plug into the back of the router directly and don't mesh with it? My issue isn't coverage/connection speed/bandwidth, it's stability of the connection which I guess the pods are to address? My RSSI at different points in the house is fine.
I'd want to see stable connections in the same room before I commit to any additional cost as I had this working fine through the hours with a 6 year old router running older wifi technology than wifi 6.
