hey!

our sky broadband hub just died today no lights, nothing. sky are sending out a new one. while we wait is it possible to use a 3rd party router until then??

i'm not the most technically minded person so excuse me if this is not very well explained!

My partner had an unused Huawei talk talk HG533 router. tried just plugging it in and putting the purple cable that went into the back of the sky hub into the asdl port but no joy. asdl now flashing on the new router meaning it's not connected.

Typically ISP-badged routers will only work with that particular providers broadband service.
