slow speed

My router used to connect for many years at 40000mbit exactly so 40megabit then in around 2015-2016 it dropped to 35000mbit so 35meg. Now as of a few weeks ago it has dropped to 32329mbit so 32meg although the sky line checker says its 30meg.

My line is getting slower and slower would moving to BT or another provider fix this issue because Sky doesn't seem to be able too.

Speed to your hub

Poor

We've checked the download speed to your Sky hub when you’re using the internet for things like browsing, streaming videos, uploading images or using apps.

It’s the speed from yesterday and only updates once a day.

It's different to the speed to the devices around your home. Speed to individual devices can be affected by lots of different things and will naturally be lower than the speed to your hub.

Your guaranteed minimum download speed: 30.0Mb/s

 

It's showing as 29.1mb/s however from my router.

It used to always be 35000 exactly but years before that it was 40000kbps exactly so it keeps getting slower every few years.
My only option is Starlink, or a ISP with terrible reviews that goes upto 900meg called Gigaclear.
 
I could keep my Sky connection and phoneline and join Gigaclear at the same time and if they are as bad as the reviews say just leave them and if there ok then cancel Sky i guess? If i joined Gigaclear i would join their cheapest £19 a month 300meg package, thats all i need i dont need 900meg. If Sky could get my connection to 35meg again i would be happy ping is low and that was just fast enough for Youtube netflix and amazon disney 4K HDR and Youtube 4K 60fps HDR but at its current speed youtube 60fps 4K videos buffer. 35meg to 30meg seems to make a rather huge difference.
