My broadband is consistenly slow recely, I called customer services and after renewing for another fixed period I inquired about the slow connection. They ran some tests and eventually the call got dropped due to the tests they were doing on the line. I didn't get a call back but have received an email to say that they will check my line for several days and if the speed remains slow then I can exit my contract. if it's consistently below the 14.4Mbps minimum. It's curretnly consistently just over 6 Mbps through the app and Sky website.
Will they be sending someone out to look at fixing the issue or is it just a case of letting me out of the contract and hoping I go away?

Find out more@Neutronium increasingly where copper lines under perform Openreaxh wont do anything significant to get speeds back up presumably as the copper infrastructure will be decommisioned once full fibre is in place. It is frustrating for customers as while they can switch isps unless they have access to a different network like Virgin Media switching is not going to help.

This is what I was thinking will happen, we're out in the sticks though so there's no fiber coming our way any time soon.
Looking into maybe getting 4G internet then I can stop the broadband and line rental I suppose

I suppose. I was hoping there would be a decent competitor to them but they are the only game in town so far for residential satelite BB. It's a fair old jump in cost, plus the hardware, plus apparently a one off congestion charge because there's too many users in the area. hmmm
