slow and patchy wifi

We've just switched to sky fibre broadband and it is very slow and patchy. we are on the gigafast pacage and at best only getting 318 down and 54 up and that is when i am next to the router. In other rooms it slows to 31 down and 32 up. 

I have tried connecting using an eero network and this is no better. I have also followed all of the steps on the sky user guide such as rebooting everything trying an ethernet cable and so nothing is working. 

Any ideas on how I can fix this?
