sky full fibre connection

i have recently been connected with sky full broadband , the router has been connected in the corner of a spare room however this is not a convenient location for using the base station with answer machine would i be able to move the router to a more convenient location like kitchen or lounge.

The only two options for that would be to have the incoming fibre cable moved which would be at cost to you and require Openreach to come out and drill another hole. Or you could run a long ethernet cable from the Openreach ONT to where you want to place the router.

@dannyboy6 That may just not be any easy task to have done, you would need to call sky and be advised off what the costis for such and even if they wish to take an order. Can you not pickup, play and set the answering machine from the DECT phone or a second handset?

thanks for advice , would i be able to move the answer phone to a more convenient location and connect answerphone back to router via a long cable.

Yes you could also do that using a longer style BT Plug to BT plug or BT plug to RJ11 depending on what type your answerphone uses.
