We have Sky Q and Sky Q mini boxes with a Sky router. Had issues with one of the mini's not getting a proper feed - stilted play and not able to get tv guide etc. Spoke to support and they ended up sending out a new mini. But still not connecting. Then realised that all the sky boxes kept ignoring the ethernet cable and switching to wifi. So I checked my mac mini computer and found that had switched to wifi even though ethernet cable connected. If I turn wifi off I have interent connection through the ethernet cable so it's not the problem. I have turned off wifi from my computer and turned off wifi from the main Sky Q box but this therefore means its no longer a wifi extender - which is frustrating as that's what they are supposed to do!. been having issues with wifi when using phones but generally just turn wifi off and use mobile data without thinking about it and reporting it. Realising that if all our big devices were switching to wifi then that causes everything else to slow to a snails pace! but why would it ignore the ethernet cable? The fact that it's not jus the sky boxes but also other devices switching to wifi makes me think it's something to do with the router but sky support seem to think it's not.. Anyone had similar? Any thoughts?
