intermittent drop in bandwidth

My connection speed over Wifi seems to fluctuate lots - sometimes going down to just a few Mbps and other times 14-16 but rarely anywhere near the 60 or so Mbps at the router (I tested it with an ethernet cable); thanks for any advice

Is it just wifi devices or ethernet also . Wifi packed 10 minutes ago whilst everything else is 136 hours. It may indicate a fault with the router

@Joebug3  Going by the router stats it is showing the LAN as being down with no traffic having run through it at all.

You are getting 74.3mb/s down to the router and 20mb/s upload. Also notice that the 2.4 GHz frequency is used more than the 5.0GHz frequency. How many devices do you have on Wi-Fi?

If someone has helped give them Like.

Re: intermittent drop in bandwidth

@Highlinder  @cookiemonsteruk up to 3-4 devices at any one time but not more than 2 streaming at once; sky broadband test says router speed is OK but nintendo has issues whether on ethernet or Wifi
