goods received that were not requested

Sky have sent me a cable to connect from the unit that brings in the fibre  to be able to connect to the router at the moment i dont have FTTP and open reach are saying it will be installed in the next year, but they haveing been saying that for 2 years. how do I return this cable to sky or shouldnt i bother to do so?

You don't need to return the cable but it seems a bit order they have sent you this if you have not placed an order so have you checked to see if anything has appeared here:

The target for the end of the commercial phase of the national FTTP rollout is December 2026.

yes but at one time it was 2025 and they missed that. so the likely hood of true FTTP is low in my opinion. i think they will claim its full fibre by using the sysyen where it comes from the cabinet via copper but the phone is via the broadband. They move the goal posts to suit themsevles and dont end up eith true fibre to the premises

Ofcom simply won't permit that.  

 

The correct terminology would be SoGEA FTTC with VoIP.

 

ISPs are required to use the phrases 'part fibre' for FTTC and 'full fibre' for FTTP.

Thank you for your answer i will follow your link and if nothing there just for get about it it would most likely cost more to send it back than its value
