does sky broadband use FTTC?

I am having bandwidth issues and as my address area is not currently on full fibre I am stuck with "sky super fast".

However, I seem to keep getting contention on the line in the evening and weekends and speeds between 50mbps and 10 mpbs which then drops out the TV.

Does anyone know if sky can utilise the BT FTTC connections to improve bandwidth?

Or shall I switch to BT Superfast deal 55-73Mbps

@teddycoster  With your speeds of 50mbps you are on FTTC if you are having issues with your line does this drop in speed preceed a drop in the connection?
