broadband speed

I am on full fibre 500 which I do not really need now as I am on my own and only use the computer for shopping and banking. Do I have to contact customer services ti change to 100 speed which is cheaper and would be ok for me

@cass12 Sky only let you downgrade if you are out of contract. It maybe better to wait forva couple of weeks when Sky should contact you to inform you of a price increase which gives you 4 weeks to change isp without any charge.

Re: broadband speed

I have just received a letter from sky about increase in broadband but there is nothing to say what to do if I want to change to lower speed as I do not need 500 now my brother has passed away. I looked on the website but it only gives upgrades or to phone but I have difficulty hearing on the phone.

Lower bill

I am now alone since my brother passed away and now only have my state pension. I don't want to switch providers but I need to lower my broadband speed to get a lower payment and also my TV payment. At present I pay £43 for 500  broadband and £33 for TV.

   It is hard for me to phone sky as I have a hearing problem and cannot hear well on the phone

@cass12

If you’re not already aware this is a customer helps customer forum and you aren’t contacting Sky Customer Services.

It may be worth registering with the Sky Accessibility Team who may be able to help now or in the future. Once registered there are also different methods of communication with this team other than phoning so have a look here… ~
