Worst speed, most expensive?!

I've noticed that the plan I'm on at the moment is more expenisve for a worse service.

I'm paying €69.00 per month for Superfast Broandband   - supplies up to 100 mbps speed.

For €64.00 per month, you can get Ultrafast Plus                  - supplies up to 500 mbps speed.

For €70.00 per month, you can get Ultrafast Max                  - supplies up to 1Gbps speed.

Unfortunately, due to a broken connection, we are forced to pay quite a lot more for a much slower speed on Superfast compared to that of the Ultrafast Plus plan.

I called today and they offered to charge €5 less than the advertised price.

Does anyone know a reason for this? I think it's outrageous.

@Berni66Lish Yes, it's a sale offer to New Customer's.

Wholesale pricing for FTTP is now typically lower than for FTTC in order to incentivise migration to the newer technology.
