Work VPN disconnections

I recently moved from BT who I had no issues with. Now on Sky Broadband my work VPN (global protect) keeps dropping out. Is there a stay awake or stay connected setting I can turn on the hub? Do you know or a way to resolve this incomparability? I am not able to remove the VPN. If we can't resolve the issue I will have to switch provider again.
