Wiring issues

New to sky as just moved in. Have a lovely new hub sent in the post and old wiring that appears in the lounge through the doorway, there is no socket. Since the person we bought the house from was a DIY enthusiast but very bad at it and we seem to have frayed cables all over the place, could this be effecting our broadband? Our electrician recommended we check.

We live in a pretty poor area for service anyway. Just want it as good as I can as 2 of us work from home.

We have boost already.

Thanks

Hi @EnterpriseNCC1701

It would only be potentially affecting your broadband if you were using those DIY cable runs for the router connection. If you connect the router to the master telephone socket you should be okay.

Can you post your router stats?
