Wifi

My wifi keeps dropping in the evenings. This has been happening for the last week. Can you please investigate the issue? I have tried calling and I have been advised I have to run tests online, but I live quite rural and have mobile data issues so this isn't really a viable solution. Also I notice my hub hob box gets really hot, I dont know of this will be the issue?

We can't investigate this. This is predominantly a customer led discussion forum where Sky customers are available to help other customers. You aren’t contacting Sky Customer Services by posting here.


Wi-Fi is basically the connection between devices and your hub. Broadband is the actual internet connection provided by the ISP (in this case Sky).

If your broadband isn’t working and you haven’t done it yet use this link to check to see if there are any broadband problems or outages nearby.

This should determine if there's an identified fault, perhaps affecting multiple households.

You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.

Once completed, if it reports back that all is good click on 'broadband' to run an updated test. If you get amber or red you need to follow the on-screen instructions.

If you’re still having problems you may need to call Sky to report it. Dial 150 free from your Sky Talk landline (if it’s still working).

Its worth adding that for customers working from home remember that Sky Broadband is a domestic service so you won’t receive any quicker or extra support.
