@Kimbo_ speed on partial fibre connections is limited by the length of the copper phone line from the cabinet to your home. Homes less than say 200m from the cabinet will get the maximum 80Mb/s but if the line is say 1500m long 20Mb/s is perfectly possibly the maximum any ISP can provide. Could that be the explanation?

What is your broadband speed? and remember that that is the speed to the hub not to the devices that are connected to the Internet, the more devices that are connected to the wifi the weaker the signal to each device is and also wifi is not the most stable connection many other things can weaken the the like if you live in an old house with solid brick walls, you will probably need a wifi booster to help with the signal around the house
