@Labeel 500Mb/s over WiFi is acrually pretty fast.if you require the full speed for your service use Ethernet cables in practice virtually nobody does unless they spend their time moving huge files.

While theoretically possible to get higher speeds over WiFi in practice it is difficult and expensive. First factor is the WiFi standard thst both the devicecand the router supports. The older black Sky hubsxare only WiFi 5 devices which tend to top out at 650Mb/s. The newer white Sky Max hub is WiFi6 which in practice can deliver 900Mb/s to devices supporting the same standard. The very latest Sky Gigafast+ hub supports. WiFi7 and can deliver up to 5Gb/s.

However those top spedds will be reduced if the signal has to pass through walls etc so the layout of your home is critical. Sky provide extender pods as part of the Sky WiFi Max pack but these are WiFi5 devices so around 500Mb/s is pretty much the max you will see on devices using those to connect. Therefore to get gigabit spedds through out a home will likely require a third party system which are not cheap £500 should buy a reasonable 3 unit system but for the best coversge and speed Netflix has a nice 3 unit system in their Orbi range for £1800.

Re: Wifi speed

@Labeel What are you seeing on the 30 day recorded history? the service checker will allow you to see that.
