I split the wifi bands about 2 months ago and had no problems this was to connect a single device to remote play gaming on a clear channel. 2.4hz has been fine at mid to high 60mbps and 5hz in the mid 70s.
Ive been noticing over a few days the 2.4hz channel is barely at 1-2mbps, when I restart the router it goes back up to the 60s then over an hour or so it'll drop back to 1-2mbps?

Unfortunately, the 2.4 GHz wireless band has quite a range and suffers a great deal of interference in almost all areas.
You can set the 2.4Ghz channel number manually by logging into the router interface at HTTP://192.168.0.1 and selecting the Wireless Tab there you can try setting it to a manual channel of your choice for the best result.
Choose either channel 1, 6 or 11 first and if this isn't any better try 3 or 9 on the 2.4 Ghz wireless band.

Thanks for the reply, I actually went into my settings about 2 hours ago and changed 2.4gz to channel 6 from auto. So far it's back up to 60mbps 🤞🏻

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@ChrisClarke if, as quite likely ch6 goes the same way at some point, you can usually sort this quickly by powering down the hub and rebooting as it should pick the best channel for you. In some homes especially flats there is no best channel just hopefully a least worst.
