@Keelan1471 there are many potential causes of game playing lagging very few of which are under Sky's control unfortunately. These are a few
- wifi interference which can come from neighbours' wifi networks or from your own electrical equpment. Keep any wireless equipment like cordless phones or wirless loud speakers away from near the hub. Using ethernet cables is the number one piece of advice.
- router capicity, if your household has several people all using the connection at once the hub can struggle to deliver gaming packets speedily . Buy a router with QOS which can prioritize gaminng traffic
- using a server which has a poor routing so normally choose the nearest router unless it is congested see next point Sky's routing is normally pretty good but things domgowrong occasionally so the route might temporarily be sub-standard
- server capacity we regularly see complaints of higher latency around Christmas particularly on new launches as providers have insufficent server capacity to meet demand. Check gaming frumd
- rarely there is an issue with the line but given the other causes it is very difficult to prove. You can set up Broadband Quality Monitors which test the line.
