Re: Wifi keeps dropping

It has been here since about 21:30 despite the so called service checker saying there isn't a problem.

I've video'd the light and lack of them so they can't deny it.

Also Sky Q is saying broadband is down!

So confirms what I'm saying

@James16901  Does the Wi-Fi check in the service checker say anything about these drop outs if the Wi-Fi is unstable or that your broadband might be dropping out?

Re: Wifi keeps dropping

Same here I have emailed the Sky CEO and lodged a complaint with sky.

The earliest an engineer can get out is next Friday and if it's nothing he can fix, which it's not! I'll have to wait for those faceless and useless wonders from open reach!

We had issues since 2014 officially un officially 4 years before that. But it 2014 we had a great Open Reach Engineer who agreed with me the fault was external to our house. However he replaced the master socket, replaced the cable that runs to the Telegraph pole and did 5 hrs of testing!

The lines and he checked 12 didn't meet BT's quality measure some by a large margin.

He checked from house to first pole it was OK but could be better the boxes on the Telegraph poles are start of 1960 and original so he had to clean it up.

Next pole was the same and between house and second was OK but could be better!

Pole to pole about the same.

However, pole to road side box 20ft from pole wasn't good and a refelectometer or something of that ilk was used and it suggested there's an issue half way between the last pole (2 from my house) and cabinet.

He did that both ways with the sane result.

So 10yrs on and about 4 engineers our house line and sockets are brand new cable is now 10yrs old but was latest spec when installed (house to pole).

And every test since then has proved no issues within the property!!

The issue is BT!!!

10 years on they need a to get rid of the overhead wires (about 15 houses max) and put fibre in like the main road 50m away, problem solved

!!

Re: Wifi keeps dropping

Well amazingly after my son rebooted in the early hours and unplugged replugged it allowed the Internet to reboot.

It's not running at its max but we have 2/3rds speed and Internet.
