Wifi keeps dropping in and out, has been doing it for weeks if not months

It keeps affecting my work as I work from home and when WiFi drops it disconnects me from many things I am doing for work, this happened the other day multiple times throughout one afternoon. Quite often I have to go into setti gs in my phone and reconnect to WiFi as the WiFi icon on my phone has an exclamation mark against it where it has gone offline and requires me to sign back in again!
