Wifi issues
Hi!
I got sky wifi a couple of weeks ago and since its just not been great.
At my mums house she had the 200 package, and now I have the 500 package and my wifi is so slow and continuously connects and disconnects.
I had an engineer come out and move the wifi box into my front room and even still, the wifi is so slow and i'm right next to the box, we have a sky wifi booster but the engineer told me to not use it as the wifi would be better without it.
What can I actually do? On online speed tests etc it all seems ok, but the wifi is slow and I can't even send imessages from my house, it has to be texts!
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Wifi issues
@EsmeKW123 oddly you can be too close the a WiFi router like your Sky hub so try to beca metre or so away, A useful tool is to usecthecspedd test at Fast.com you should see spedds sround 500Mb/s in thecsame room as the hub assuming it is out in the open. Rerun the test as you mave round your home. In practice you do not need speeds overc100Mb/s for most domestic uses
One other thing to check is the setting for Sky's Broadband Shield as by default new connections are set to an age which blocks social networking apps which may explain your picture issues. See https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-broadband-shield-start
