Wifi issues

Hello, We've been having wifi connection issues ever since we switched over to sky stream. The broadband previously was good although it did continually drop connection to switch to a different wifi channel. However, this was controllable as I was able to log i to the router and change the channel. I now cannot do this on the new router. Is there any way this can be actioned or changed please? I have recently been sent a booster which is OK, but doesn't seem to have fixed the issue. Thx
