I'm hoping someone can advise me. My wifi connection is dreadful during the day, after about 9am but later, in the evening after about 8pm it's fine. My wifi box is upstairs and my tv/sky Q is downstairs on the other side of the house.
My phone also picks up this variable connection and sometimes loses wifi.
The issue is this: I live a quarter of a mile from one of the largest call centre phone mast arrays in the UK, (with Barclays, EDF, EE, British Gas and 19 other call centres based there). You can see it from the window. Am I doomed to eternal wifi failure?

Possibly, yes: there's very little an ISP can do about local interefence if that is indeed an issue.
You might want to investigate wired solutions such as Powerline network adapters.

Could there be anything else interfering in your house? Microwaves, cheap baby monitors or ive even heard of a dodgy power cable causing issues.
Try powering everything off in your house and switch things on one by one and see what happens
Id be really really surprised if something a quarter of a mile away would be interfering so badly, especially any communication towers as they all have the be licenced / tested etc
