Wifi issues upstairs

Wifi is working fine on all devices in the ground floor of our house!

However, the computer upstairs will connect so far and then not complete a task at all.

An example is while loading a game. It just runs constantly with the circle rotating.

we have resorted to using a signal amplifier device on the ground floor and even gone to the extreme of using a wired ethernet cable from the router direct to the offending gaming computer with no obvious effect.

I have checked our speed and it states it is low but within the guidelines of our set up!

Can anyone offer any solution

@Batref103  Do you have broadband boost or broadband max as part of your broadband subscription?

If someone has helped give them Like.

@Batref103

Sky loans wireless booster hardware free under the terms of the 'WiFi Guarantee' element of 'Broadband Boost' and the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement: they don't otherwise provide or sell them except to resolve issues with Sky Q. Inevitably some have leaked onto a certain auction site, but Sky won't offer support with using these.

Confusingly the 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator for the supplements mentioned above.

Re: Wifi issues upstairs

@TimmyBGood

Hi, I'm jumping in on this as it's similar to my issues.

I've got SkyGlass TV - Sky Max Hub, 2 x pucks connected to TV's in other rooms.

Today I've just taken delivery of a SkyMax pod for one of the bedrooms that has always been a bit of a WiFi blind spot.

To improve performance/connectivity, I've got my Glass TV & one of the pucks connected using Ethernet.

My question is with the Ethernet connection should I still keep the WiFi switched on for my Glass TV and Puck?

Thanks in advance for your help,

cheers, Bob.
