Wifi is unstable because of Alexa? Really?

My wifi is intermittently saying "your connection is unstable" I've spoken to Sky engineer who tells me I have too many Alexa plugs and bulbs, my only option (in his words) is to remove some of the devises or go to a different supplier?.. really?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@AlisW depends on how many devices you have but the Sky hub has limited processing power and a high number of devices can cause issues but it depends more on the traffic those devices generate. Sky staff do use the too many devices excuse when something hapoens they can't see an obvious solution to. You may need a more powerful router rather than change ISP. It is sometimes sensible to segment networks if you are really into the IOT concept.

Post how many devices you have and your hub's stats and somebody should be able to advise see Find your Sky Broadband router statistics
