Wifi getting slower

I have fibre and normally fast.com shows between 900mg-1g but the last couple of days its only been showing 340mg. I havent made any changes to anything, it seems like the speed has just dropped. Did the tests in the Sky app and they say that everythings good. Anyone experienced anything similar and know what might cause it?

WiFi is an inherently unstable medium: both the wireless signal from your own Hub and any neighbouring routers or access points can change over time (particularly as they  automatically shift band to avoid congestion), as well as potentially being affected by electrical devices in your own and other properties.

If possible it's important to try and test speed over an ethernet device with a gigabit chipset: that's the only way to confirm that Hub speed is still being delivered.

Re: Wifi getting slower

I am having a very similar problem with my Sky wifi. I have Sky Fibre and Sky's web site speed test shows my download speed is fine. However it can take two to three seconds to load a web page on our new, very fast laptops via our Sky wifi. It has been like this for the last couple of months.  Our Sky Wifi was much faster than this before we upgraded to Sky Fibre broadband.  The Sky wifi router is about 10 feet away from my laptop. I also have a Sky wifi booster. I have followed Sky's online advice about checking and re-booting our Sky router, but the problems persists. Any suggested ways of improving my Sky wifi speed would be helpful.
