Hi,
I have on and off been on the phone with sky over my broadband speed and done the tests on Sky.com to double check everything is working and the person on the phone did the same and said we had too many devices on our network. It says we have 14 devices. I have counted all the devices in the house including the Sky Booster and I can count 9 maximum and I rarely have all of them switched on all the time so usually have about 7 connected.
Would the sky tests be showing devices that aren't real or would other people be conected to my box without my permission?
p.s it says some are connected through the Sky Booster which I find strange.

While having loads of devices all using the connection at once will slow things down - like running all the taps in a house at once - 14 devices is not too many. The test Sky use to determine how maxny devices can be flaky in my experience

Because the devices that are supposedly connected through my sky booster are devices I don't own or no one in my household has access to.
I.e we have an iPhone 14 in the house but according to Sky we have 2 iPhone 11s connected, we don't own any iPhone 11 devices.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Sylvia44 the only way people outside your home can connect to either the hub or a Sky extender would be by knowing your wifi password. That is a serious security risk so if you suspect that change your Wifi password see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/find-and-change-your-wireless-password
