Wifi coverage

Our WiFi  is struggling to reach all areas of our house without dropping we have a new build 3 bed semi so not a big house!
we have one sky max hub upstairs which I'm not sure hells as nothing seems to connect to that all devices always connect to the main router?
however when I sit and work in the kitchen (I work from home so this is important!) it keeps dropping signal.

am I able to get another max hub to put in my kitchen?

I really would have thought when I swapped to Sky I would have at least got the same coverage as I had with BT but I'm not and never had issues with the WiFi dropping in certain areas with BT?

@Louisepoy

If you have Wi-Fi Max on your account then Sky will supply up to 3 pods as you can read about here:

Re: Wifi coverage

@Louisepoy Why do you not move the pod that you have upstairs assuming that it is a pod, to the other location where you need it?

Re: Wifi coverage

@Louisepoy And you said it is not working up there, so is that true or not!

Re: Wifi coverage

The max pod is connected but nothing seems to connect to the pod still only the router so the signal is still poor upstairs too... and ye se have tried logging out of WiFi on all devices upstairs so it will find the pod and still doesn't connect.

this is a normal 3 bed new build so not a massive house with old walls I'd expect the top sky Wi-Fi to reach all rooms as Bt did

Re: Wifi coverage

@Louisepoy The rules as documented, you have a pod that sky sent you, so NOW you have to call them ""again"", they run the test's they require again, and what they find decides what the next step is, 2nd and 3rd pods, Engineer is dispatched with said devices, looks to see why you are having so much difficulty with the wireless signal distribution and sort's it all out (if he/she can).

Re: Wifi coverage

@Louisepoy Hope it all get's sorted out for you now, be prepared with whatever you need to do/know regarding speed's and devices around the home... Devices/Pod negotiation at the wireless wi-fi side do NOT always go smooth and sometimes where you would like them to be just does not happen. Sky Max has some tools to help and assist, but you wish to have a mobile app controlled hub then you have to deal with all the little issue's!

Re: Wifi coverage

Our coverage is also bad, we have just changed from Virgin to Sky and limited coverage in some areas of the house.

Re: Wifi coverage

@jajmuggsy If you have sky Max, and the sky Max addon with your package then it's the same as the post, you need to call sky but they do like to have a 14 day period inbetween the install to getting what is needed to work. The link below may help and explain!. Also below that adjustments that you may wish to try with the sky Max hub.
