Re: Wifi connection is terrible
@Katietopping yiu sre not talking to Sky by posting in the forum but before calling them consider the following based on years of networking homes.
When considering WiFi distribution the size of your home is less important than its layout and what it id built out of. A smal,2 bed Victorian or Edwardian property can be more difficukt to network thsn a modern 5 bed house. The issue is simply if you have internal walls built of brick or stone they cause significant signal loss.
However they are things you can do first make sure the hub is in the best possible position which is out in the open on a suface so it is above obstructions like radiators. You msy need a longer cable to connect it to the ONT or phone socket these can essily be bought if required. After that if the signal is still not providing usable WiFi in some rooms then you msy require morecequipment likeca WiFi extender. Sky will proovide these as part of tge WiFi Max add-on but you msybget better results by switching off the hub's WiFi and buying a basic WiFi system with multiple units. My own cost under £100mand has saved me money as I dont have to pay for tgecadd-on. In a small home a 2 unit kit is probsbly ample.
65inch Sky Glass, 3 Sky Streaming Pucks, Sky Ultrafast + and Sky SR213(white Wifi Max hub) main Wifi from 3 TP-Link Deco M4 units in access point mode
