Wifi Max - what does it do?

I added Wifi Max to my broadband thinking it would help boost my wifi signal, but it hasn't made any difference at all, and my signal is still fairly weak. As i use broadband to WFH i need it to be reliable. Can i cancel the Wifi Max (as it hasn't made a bit of difference)?

As well as adding Wi-Fi Max did you order the first booster pod as it's not clear from your post you did that as well?

It isn't actually Wifi Max itself that boosts your signal as it is a package that goes along with your broadband:

The main thing being is that Sky will now loan you up to 3 boosters to help with a poor wifi signal, the first of which you install but with a second or third an engineer will set them up. You need to get in touch with Sky if you want these.

By itself, paying a subscription supplement cannot affect either broadband or WiFi.

The WiFi Max add-on unlocks Parental Controls, 'enhanced security' (whatever that is) and the option to claim booster hardware if the minimum 25Mbs isn't being delivered wirelessly.
