WiFi very slow
My son has his PC upstairs it uses WiFi to connect, speed test on his pc shows download is only 6, my pc is wired and same speed test shows 849. WiFi router is in the room below my son's room. Distance between router and sons pc is 10.5 ft Have reset the router and no change have also run the sky test which shows no issues. Any ideas?

You've conclusively proved that WiFi is fundamentally unpredictable and unreliable?
Ethernet cable is always preferable: Powerline networking may be a viable alternative.
Also worth investigating why the PC WiFi is quite that bad: could it be using a £10 802.11n USB wireless adapter, for example?
