WiFi terrible

I've had sky broadband about 3 weeks. The WiFi is terrible. Unless you are sat next to the router it's really slow.

The router is in the cupboard under the stairs, that's where the connection box is. It's not convenient but we managed fine with previous broadband supplier (bt).

Any suggestions??

All routers have differences but for any, under the stairs is a terrible position.

Have a look at the following to see if they can resolve your problem easily if no success with the above, you can also use the MySky app. If not you may need to consider either the Sky WiFi Max add-on package or perhaps purchasing a 3rd party mesh system (which remains yours regardless of ISP used and would be my own personal choice).

I agree with @Me134, I also went with a Mesh system which has been flawless for 2-3 years (both with TalkTalk and now Sky). There is an initial cost to purchase but then its yours with no monthly fee. Also makes moving to different providers very easy as you can keep the same wifi name and passord - no need to re-configure each device if you do change supplier.

Good luck with whatever solution you chose.
