Re: WiFi speed and no support
@SS_Sky how are you measuring the speeds? These tests can be misleading as they show the slowest part of the connection between the device and the server. If you are using a games service like Steam to measure speeds watch thst you are usinng tge right unitsxas they report in MB/s not Mb/s to convert multiply the MB/s by 8 to get Mb/s.
If you are using a device connected by WiFi that is nirmally to WiFi connection between the device and the Sky hub. Sky test the speed of the broadband service to your hub daily you can find the results in the online servicecchecker in the My Sky app. If that is low the app should offer help.
If the Sky test is showing speeds around 90Mb/s then the most likely cause is the Ethernet cable between the ONT and the hub as a faulty cablle often wont carry gigabit speeds falling back to 100Mb/s before allowing for overheads. These type of issues would explain why engineer visits are being cancelled.
If spedds to the hub are broadly as they should be youbshould be ablecto get similar speeds over Ethernet. WiFi speeds can however be limited by the location of the hub and the layout of your home. Make surecthe hub is out in the open off the floor on axsurfacecaway from other equipment.

I moved to Sky a week back and struggling with WiFi speed since the first hour. I'm paying for gigafast connection and consider myself lucky when my phone shows receiving 50Mbps speed.
'Gigabit' (900Mbs) is speed delivered over optical fibre and ethernet cable as far as to Hub, not WiFi from it.
