I had full fibre provided about six months ago, the router is now on the first floor of our four bed house. To improve WiFi coverage I have a TPLINK range extender. This has worked reasonably well until recently with only a couple of areas receiving weak to no coverage.
I wanted to improve the arrangement to get full house coverage, first by mapping using a phone app. What I found is that I get 150 mbps throughout the property for a few minutes but then it will drop out with only coverage at 150 mbps in the imeadiate vicinity of the router leaving most of the house without a signal.
I'm puzzled is the router faulty? Is that normal? Do I need to install more or new WiFi range extenders.
I used the Sky service checker and got a clean bill of health. I would appreciate some help, as as a consequence of the regular loss of coverage a number of smart plugs are no longer operating.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@PaulH26 whichever Sky hub you have using a third party extender can cause more issues than it solves as the two signals can interfere. You are better either getting matched extenders from Sky or turning off Sky's wifi and using just third party kit.
