WiFi location / gps

I've had my sky broadband and the same router for at least a couple of years, but this past week, the location / gps that it thinks I'm at, is a few streets away from me. I've tried restarting the router but it doesn't fix it? If I go on any on of the map apps, it won't calibrate to where I actually am. Any ideas?

"location / gps" have I missed something on my Sky router?

Broadband itself doesn't do GPS, and geolocation through a router is consequently always approximate: the ISP absolutely shouldn't be giving that information away.

If a phone has its GPS enabled when attaching to WiFi and the appropriate permissions have been given then a website on that particular device may well be able to get a better fix.
