WiFi is so bad

I have sky 500 but I can only 400 speeds when stand directly in front of the router and even then it's intermittent.

rest of the house it barely reaches 20mb and cuts out most of the time. I have a small house so never really further then 1-2 meters from the hub.

sky closed my issue and said there is nothing they can do. Never sent an engineer out or extenders and barely done any trouble shooting. I'm so annoyed, I should have stayed with talk talk 150 which was much faster!

any help please?

@Whyask123 Is there anything that the Forum can do for you, or is it that you just need sky's help to fix your wireless or sky Hub issue, speed is not the problem as you are getting 400Mb/s, and not having that only 1-2 metres away no matter what you are saying!

Those are options available to accounts with the WiFi Max  subscription supplement.

Sky loans wireless booster hardware 'free' under the terms of the 'WiFi Guarantee' element of the legacy 'Broadband Boost' add-on and the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement: they don't otherwise provide or sell boosters except to resolve issues with Sky Q. Phoning Sky to go through a telephone diagnosis is required to have a booster or pod allocated to the account. Inevitably some  Sky booster hardware has leaked onto a certain auction site and elsewhere online but Sky won't offer support with using these, and Max pods acquired that way won't work at all.

Confusingly the default 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' bundled with all new Sky Broadband orders where Boost or Max is not added by the customer doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator for the supplements mentioned above plus a one month broadband subscription refund.

Re: WiFi is so bad

It's intermittent 400 though.

and they should vide a working product, not just standing in front of the box.

im wondering if there something wrong with the box or has anyone had success changing hardware to mesh or anything similar?

Sky team have already ran diagnostic, the first month indicated low speeds but not it showing as normal on thier end

Re: WiFi is so bad

Doesn't really help to be honest. They sell 500 but say it naturally gets slower around the house (15mb and below) is a joke. The drop should never be that significant

most the times WiFi doesn't even reach the bedrooms and it's a small house!

@Whyask123 When you post on the Forum then you are contacting and speaking with customer's just like yourself and not to sky, willing to help as best or if we can, but it is a two way street. If you do not wish anything that we have to offer and sky is the way that you need to direct too, then it's going to be a call to them for assistance!
