WiFi connection issues - Ring Doorbell
Hi,
I have recently installed a ring camera. It is brand new. For the first few days it worked really well, no WiFi issues at all. Then it went off due to weak internet connection and my car was vandalised. Then the same thing happened again to my partners car a day or so later. Doorbell weak connection, car vandalised. Last night my ring came on at 2am-4am and captured some footage of someone walking around my car etc. and then went off due to weak WiFi connection. Due to the WiFi dropping on the camera, the police now don't have footage of my car being vandalised and I don't feel safe when that camera is disconnecting. Is there anything at all I can do to prevent this happening? I note the WiFi checks are coming back as "good" but the ring doorbell says there is a weak WiFi connection?

Re: WiFi connection issues - Ring Doorbell
@336WKZ Have a look on your ring software at the device health and look at the Signal Strength RSSI value, lower number is good, mine running currently at value off 48, but had to put a Powerline WPA near the doorbell to get a good 2.4Ghz signal at it. Link may help below!
Understanding wifi recommendations for Ring devices
If you speed test with your mobile like Ring advise, then do it outside standing where the camera is to get the better idea and everything that the ring has to fight through to get the signal to the hub. I had a heavy Internal door and also a tripple glazed to get through, was just far to much to keep the signal stable and working!
