@Chimpishuk yep although we don't see much. Was thinking more of checking to see what's open on the wan side of the router, I've the kit to check that safely. More from a curiosity perspective and also with people home working I always understand exactly where the weak points are 😉

Yeah a quick portscan and pentest should give you some answers. There are plenty of free options out there.
Quick update on my side: As I mentioned toggling the fw security from low to medium saving and then back to low and saving. Allowed my VOIP to come back online.
I've now changed the SSID and password. This has successfully saved in the app and I can connect to the amended SSID (after I did my factory reset I couldn't even change to SSID in the app) and, the in the web management under Gateway > At a glance > I can confirm my new SSID matches the settings in the app.
I'm giong to wait for a while now and see if these settings hold as my original issue was the SSID settings dropping back to default at random.
If I can confirm some stability of both the SSID amendment and VOIP function, I'm going to add my POD and see if this replicates the settings from the router - which is supposed to be what happens apparently (according to Sky engineers)
Thanks to @adwarduk again your curiousity seems to have done something for us. That, or Sky have done something backend - but the fact that we've both done the same seems to indicate there is an issue on the FW rules side.
I'll keep you posted on the SSID config and if it maintains my preferred settings and of course how I get on with the POD. My last issues with the POD included LAN and WAN issues. I'm considering plugging the POD into a switch if it supports pure AP mode rather than using mesh, I suppose it would improve performance.. Does anyone know?

Edit: dump your results to a text file first otherwise Sky thread complains about HTML content.
Can you confirm your firmware/software revision?
Via Web Management > Gateway > Software:
This is what I'm running:
DSL Software Version:A2pvfbK048d.d28b1
Software Image Name:SR213_6.3p6s1_PROD_sey
Advanced Services:SR213

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @Chimpishuk & @adwarduk Sky have finally managed to book an engineer's visit which happens tomorrow. Hopefully I may learn a bit more.
My hub details match yours exactly @Chimpishuk.

Have you tried logging into your router and toggling your firewall security settings?
Logon to the IP of your router from a browser (ideally on a pc or mac) should be 192.168.0.1 by default
Default credentials are: admin and the password for your default SSID - unless you've already changed these.
Browse to Firewall > IPv4 > Toggle from Low to Medium > Click Save.
Browse back to to At a Glance > Under Home Network > Check Firewall Security Level is set to Medium.
Browse to Firewall > IPv4 > Toggle from Medium to Low > Click Save.
Browse back to to At a Glance > Under Home Network > Check Firewall Security Level is set to Low.
Check if your issues are resolved, can you confirm what your specific issues are? (sorry - with the growing size of the thread I can't remember!)
So far this appears to have resolved my issues with:
1. No telephony over VOIP.
2. SSID changing back to default
My third issue with the Sky POD not functioning correctly over LAN/WAN I'm yet to check because I want to check the status of the SSID over several hours. I then plan to use my POD in AP mode by plugging into a cat6 switch upstairs in my office - read the small amount of documentation which indicates the POD does support this.

@Chimpishuk @Chrisee better still do restore firewall defaults it appears to keep the setting but restores the rules needed for the sky backend. Hence my comment about the firewall config side being broken / flakey. So far today mines stable and all the correct options are in the app as well.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Chimpishuk not having any issues myself with the firewall, touch wood, so I will pass on the tests. I have run the IP4 firewall at all 3 levels with no issue overvthe last week. I have also enabled the Advianced Security setting in the app. I have been doing that to see what if any issues I hit so far there have been none. I have not tried changing the SSID from the default and it has remained stable as it should. I purposely chose that option to mimic what most customers will do.
The engineer's visit is belt and braces from Sky's end. I am hoping to learn a bit more about the new mesh. A few things puzzle me on the SR203 Wifi5 devices used both bands on the SR213 they only appear to connect to the 5GHz band and therefore top out around 350Mb/s. Wifi 6 uses both. The roaming between the pod and the hub seems not to be working. Devices that should remain connected are going into the disconnected list.
i dont use VOIP as such but my Sky Talk line has worked as expected through out.
My account issues were connected to my status as a forum SU+ for historic reasons our customer accounts are treated differently which has both positives and negatives the insbility to book a home visit was a -ve. These issues are different from the issues others are having around the app

@Chimpishuk exactly the same software versions :-
DSL Software Version:A2pvfbK048d.d28b1
Software Image Name:SR213_6.3p6s1_PROD_sey
Advanced Services:SR213
I've got the pods connected and so far everything is stable except no wifi6 connection to the pods no issue for me though as long as it stays stable.

@adwarduk @Chrisee @KevNewMedia
Update:
1. SSID has not reverted to default. SSID fault is currently OK.
2. Telephony over VOIP is now functioning. VOIP fault is currently OK.
3. POD installed in AP mode is now functioning. (currently connected to a cat6 switch) POD fault is currently OK.
My only issue is a wireless device should be auto changing to the strongest signal - assuming this will improve in time - only affects phones/tablets and macbook really but still speeds connected to the router or the ap exceed 600mbps. With the POD in AP mode I'm getting 750mbps (device confirmed connected to the POD) static devices in the vinicity of the POD are connected such as the Amazon Echo Show, Samsung and Phillips TV, Sky protect internal webcam and one Sky Stream Box will benefit massively.
Minor annoyance: I now have to reconnect all Sky Protect security devices.
Note: I've checked through all IP's using a local IP scanner. There is no way of managing the POD's via web management and as I'm sure you're aware nothing in terms of configuration from the MySky app.
I have just received an SMS from Sky as follows:
"Hi ********, its Sky. We are still working on resolving the issue and will keep you updated and will call once resolved, Sorry for the delay.
Thanks
Sky team"
I should probably call them tomorrow to tell them the current status.
To confirm what appears to have resolved my issues:
Logon to the web management of the router
Browse to Firewall > IPv4 > Toggle from Low to Medium > Click Save.
Browse back to to At a Glance > Under Home Network > Check Firewall Security Level is set to Medium.
Browse to Firewall > IPv4 > Toggle from Medium to Low > Click Save.
Browse back to to At a Glance > Under Home Network > Check Firewall Security Level is set to Low.
Check VOIP functionality - confirmed.
Change SSID and password - confirmed this has not changed back to default.
Added POD in AP mode by plugging into cat6 switch - confirmed ok.
That's all folks!

MySky app is currently down for maintenance. Scheduled maintenance apparently....I haven't seen anything in app or a banner advising of this.
01 Aug 2023 11:15 PM
@Chimpishuk - yep it is. Unless it's unscheduled it's normally A good idea to tell folks ur doing it especially when customers depend on it now to manage there routers (maybe sky could be a trend setter here the likes of BT are really bad at it). As an aside currently my wifimax hub is stable as are the pods. Occasionally getting the pod name shift when the backhaul band being used shifts but it's settling down. Network is definitely behaving more like it should. One thing I've spotted is duplicates of devices mainly mobiles in the devices list but know why that is, many devices now offer private mac addresses on the WiFi interfaces to try and stop tracking and sometimes this changes when a device shifts bands from 5ghz to 2 4ghz so not necessarily a pod / hub issue but device related. My S23 and iPhone 14 promax both do it occasionally

Random question...
Is anyone else having issues with ring equipment? All had great connection with my old hub 4.2, now two struggle, and the doorbell drops off completely at night 🤷🏽
02 Aug 2023 01:44 PM
Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@MrDanStan not losing a ring doorbell but devices do lose wifi connection when they shouldn't I haveca query with Sky on this. They are monitoring this thread so should pick up your issue.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@adwarduk & @Chimpishuk the Sky tech team member came this morning. He freely admitted he had only seen three systems with Wifi Max one was an Openreach issue the other was a very large property where wifi issues were inevitable. He thinks my pod was getting minimal signal but he could not access any diagnostic screens to check so relied on his phone. He did authorise me a second pod which may make a difference. I have fed back details on the issues I face through a back channel to a Sky contact. If anything comes of that I will feed back here.
It is clear the mesh takes time to optimise but after 5 days devices were not roaming as expected and wifi 5 speeds are all over the place.
02 Aug 2023 02:00 PM
@Chrisee @Chimpishuk i have my catchup call later today but I'm seeing similar on the local network traffic, the 5ghz traffic does seem to be all over the place band wise and as it all shifts jitter increases & traffic speeds get irattic. I'll see if it stabilises.
