Wi-Fi issues

The Wi-Fi in my house keeps dropping on all our devices.

We have two laptops and two mobile 'phones, which are all Wi-Fi ready, and we have no issues with any of them on any other network we use them.  However, in this house the internet connection drops on all four devices several times a day.

When the devices ARE connected, it is very, very slow.

We also have a PC, which is connected to the router, and the connection on this generally stays, however again the internet is very slow.

It's all very frustrating!!

Any ideas anybody?  TIA.

Tee.

@Tee60 As you have one device that seems to be unaffected then looking like you are wireless wi-fi issue, what sky hub do you have and also the connection type from sky!

Re: Wi-Fi issues

Hi, sorry for the delay in getting back to  you.

It's a black hub which we originally had from Sky, when it was all installed around ten years ago.

I'm not sure what you mean by what sort of connection?  The black hub box is on the landing and we have a PC in the spare bedroom which connects into that via a cable.  Then we have Wi-Fi which we use for our other devices (two laptops and two mobile 'phones).  We generally use them downstairs in the lounge, however this morning my partner has been using his laptop upstairs in the main bedroom, and the internet has crashed four times. 😞

A Q Hub (from late 2015 onwards) would be due for swap-out by Sky anyway, as they become obsolete this year.

Re: Wi-Fi issues

Good luck with getting it sorted. I've got WiFi max and had this issue ever since I joined (1 year ago) I've had countless engineers out who say they can't find any faults even though the WiFi is constantly dropping out of all devices whenever I go into a different room.
