Wi-Fi coverage

Good Evening I recently updated my sky package and explained that the broadband digit the whole of my bungalow and asked for a booster which had when I had sky q and had no issue it connection throughout property. I was advised to get a new broadband box for an extra fee each month but since this the WiFi is still not great. My daughter is not getting WiFi on her phone in her bedroom and is now using most of her data and is dropping off in kitchen. Therefore I would like to find a solution so that WiFi is available for everyone in the property at no extra fee as already paying additional fee for broadband which now seems I didn't need and just a booster.

Try going through this to see if it helps:

If not and if you have Wi-Fi Max which does cost extra on your account then Sky will supply up to 3 pods as you can read about here:

Select "No, I still need help" at the bottom on the above link.

Re: Wi-Fi coverage

@Littlelou79 Did you have the black Sky Broadband Hub with sky booster and sky Q before, take a look at the links and say what you see was yours before your upgrade!

You don't state what you were asked to pay extra for but I presume that it gives you access to up to 3 Sky boosters to extend wifi coverage - others on here are much more knowledgable on that topic as I chose not to go down that path.

I decided to go my own way as the Sky router (and also my previous provider TalkTalk router) could not provide coverage all rooms in our bungalow. I invested in further hardware and created my own wifi Mesh using Amazon Eero devices (4) to cover the whole bungalow and also the garden patio. This was relatively costly (between £150 - £200), but once invested a Mesh system will work with any broadband supplier if I eventually move away from Sky for a better deal at the end of my contract.

wifi coverage is notoriousy difficult in larger / older properties and a single router often does not manage to cope.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do !
